VISION
To Be A City Council by the year 2015.
MISSION
To bring balanced development by providing a variety of facilities and services for the benefit of the people and the development of the Serian District.

Mountain...
Describes the Serian District with the backdrop of the famous Mount Simujan in Serian.

River...
Signifies the Sadong River, the main passageway and also the transportation and communications medium, before the use of land transportation.

The Red, Yellow and Black Colours...
The three colour components that make up the Sarawak flag..

The Red, Yellow and Black Pyramids...
Signifies harmony and the unity of the three majority races in Serian: the Bidayuhs, the Ibans and the Chinese.

Blue Pyramid ...
The blue pyramid signifies the Mosque's dome that represents the Malays.

CONCLUSION
All the different races live in peace and harmony with one determination: "TOWARDS DEVELOPMENT".
